Silver shoelaces campaign:

Show your bow!

3 million U.S. children and teens have a parent with cancer. It is important for their parents to have access to a program to address parenting concerns, but most cancer centers do not provide this resource. welcome, visitors from the home base program website!

Dr. Paula Rauch and her colleagues at the Home Base Program have launched a new videobased parent guidance website utlizing the PACT Model for supporting children's resilience. The website addresses challenges faced by children in military connected families, but families in which a parent is facing cancer will find the parent guidance helpful, too. Visit the website at www.StayingStrong.org

Click here to learn more about the Home Base Program for military and veteran families. A list of resources for these families can be found on our site. Also, check out upcoming local Military Child Education Coalition(TM) events.
